wwe vs tnt anyone watching?

It has the potential to be that if they continue working these story lines probably. It also has the potential to blow up in their face if they fuck them up (which they've done before).

I think they have already screwed up by bringing back Punk so soon. After Summer Slam would have been better...the crowd reaction on this past RAW was way too mixed. IMHO.

Damn. I'm gonna have to see Raw. This is how I would have done it: I would have taken Punk off television until Survivor Series. Then the Raw two weeks before the PPV have Trips announce that the WWE has resigned CM Punk and that Punk will face Cena at Survivor Series to determine the Undisputed WWE Champion. I would also have Trips announce that the special guest enforcer/Ref for the match will be none other than THE ROCK (crowd pops insanely).

Then at Survivor Series I would book the result of the match that The Rock interferes with Cena costing him the title and furthering their feud. Punk becomes WWE Champion and then faces The Miz in a program that would cultivate at Royal Rumble.

I could see them build Miz & R-Truth as tag team and maybe eventually have them beat Otunga and McGillicutty at a PPV...WWE really needs to build up their tag team division.

^ Yep but they won't. Vince hates Tag Teams.

Also I would bust out a new custom designed belt for CM Punk that had his Straight Edge xXx on the front of the belt in diamonds. The actual belt buckle would be more traditional than the so-called spinner buckle design and Punk would cut a promo like so "This is how you do custom belts!"

I'd also make a straight clean break from Nexus (have they done this already? I feel like I'm behind now on things lol) and just dissolve them. Trips announcing that Nexus is done and has served it's purpose and maybe he says something like "That was the Nexus era, it lasted a year." kind of riffing on Vince's end of the nWo speech.

^ I agree. I liked the concept of Nexus and always found it ironic that Bret inadvertently was responsible for it's formation when he was the Special Guest Host. It always amazes me that these giant faction stables start off so strong but then fizzle out into oblivion when creative can't think of a way to sustain them. The easiest thing that seems to happen is that they split them into two rival factions instead of keeping the original faction strong for a few months.

The split into two rival factions happens so often. Here are a few major stables that I can think of, off the top of my head.

The NWO split into NWO Black (The heels) and NWO Wolfpac (the faces)
The Nation Of Domination became The Nation (the heels), The DOA (the faces) and Los Boricuas (the tweeners)
The Brood became The New Brood (the heels) and Edge and Christian (the faces)
The Corporation became The Corporate Ministry (the heels) and The Union (the faces)
The Extremists split into The ECW Originals (the faces) and The New Breed (the heels)
The Nexus became The New Nexus (the heels) and The Corre (the heels)

I was going to point out some other examples, and then I realized that they were all from WCW, and then I realized that made them too obscure to mention.

Yeah its really one of those all too common tropes in pro wrestling. For some reason it got me thinking about Vince McMahon's penchant for mononyms. Instead of his wrestlers becoming known by one name through their fame, Vince seems to gives them one name from the beginning. Here are some examples...

(Dave) Ba(u)tista
Sheamus (O'Shaunessy) Although his real name is Stephen Fallery
(Dave) Finlay
Maryse (Ouillet)
Eve (Torres)
Melina (Perez)
Layla (El)
Natalya (Neidhart)

These are all mononyms that aren't exactly required since the names listed above are resonably unique and stand out.

Layla has such an awesome name if you're a Superman fan ;) They probably couldn't market that for fear of getting a little warning from Warner Bros for the "El" part of her name.

http://www.wrestling-edge.com/wwe-n...undertaker-octobers-vengeance-payperview.html

“On October 23, Vengeance rises from the grave in the form of an all new Pay-Per-View. What better time and place for The Undertaker to make his return to a WWE ring. After all, it was a year and a day to the date that the Deadman lost a Buried Alive match against Kane with the help of the Nexus at the WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View in 2010. The Phenom hasn’t come calling for revenge on that score (some streak got in the way), so if we were Kane or Wade Barrett, we would watch our backs come October, because if you happen to hear that ominous gong, you’ll know the bell tolls for thee.”

Interesting.

looking forward to tonight with impact wrestling. to see who when's the tournament. and to see what crazy shtick that sting comes up for imortal.
