WWE vs. NBA

It was taped in the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Okay, and the Smackdown/ECW taping the next day is at the World Arena in Colorado Springs. They're off to Alabama for the next week's tapings.

Aside from just the truck, WWE has to book around one hundred hotel rooms for their staff and talent for every show.

People can get hurt pretending to be athletes just like the real deal can.

Doesn't make what they do "fake". They work matches with predetermined outcomes but, as the don't try this at home video says, how do you learn to fall off a 30ft ladder ?
If the outcomes are predetermined then the match is fake.

Regardless, people's views of the legitimacy of WWE as an organisation are irrelevant. They're still a very large entertainment company who entered in to a legally binding contract with the owners of this stadium.
The Nuggets have a contract as well. The wrestling match can be held someplace else, the basketball game cannot.

It is also true that the chairman of that organisation is, putting aside his television persona, someone who is well known for not taking anything lying down and as such his company's legal rights should not just be dismissed because a few people don't like that company's product. He will remind you endlessly that he took on the Federal Government and won and that he took on Ted Tuner's billions and won.
Like I care about that asshole. He ruined wrestling as far as I'm concerned.

If I'm not mistaken, that would mean a back-to-back in the playoffs..
I say boo freaking hoo. The Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals ended up playing back to back games in the other city due to a similar double booking of Mellon Arena. If they can, the Lakers and Nuggets can too.

It's not a "wrestling match". This isn't some weekend house show, it is the live broadcast of WWE's flagship television programme, Monday Night Raw plus match tapings for WWE Superstars later in the week. The arena is sold out, the truck is on its way, the hotels have been booked.

They can't just move the show, it's impossible, moving it will have a massive knock-on effect for their production schedule as well, affecting Tuesday night's Smackdown and ECW tapings.

If the broadcast does not go ahead as planned, WWE should sue.

They've also had to move Tuesday's Smackdown and ECW taping to LA as well. That's a shame since WWE hasn't been to Colorado Springs for a TV taping for ten years.

Yse it is

That flagship show is a show that features a wrestling match.

They can have their little show at Investco Field.

Let them. They'll probably win. I don't care. The Western Division finals are more important than an entire year of Vince McMahon's fake wrestling garbage. How anybody over 12 could care about it amazes me

That would be a fine solution. They should do it

There's no such thing as a "little" company that clears over $500m a year - and that's during a recession. I could be hostile to something I don't personally watch. I could say "just cancel the finals - who cares about a bunch of beanpoles throwing a ball around ? Only the last two minutes matters anyway!"

Not a bad solution actually - first team to score wins. They can do it in a local high school gym.

Sorrry, wrestling just isn't a sport and as such it is inferior to the likes of basketball, baseball, hockey, etc. and always will be.

You're talking about pre-arranged outcomes vs. actual competition.

It's cool that you're a fan of muscular men in tights and all, we won't judge you for that, but don't try and pass off what is essentailly a good time for hillbillys for something that actually matters, like a bonafide athletic body such as the NBA.

You should get in to real sports, not just who's the best at exercising.

What has any of this got to do with KSE's breach of contract? Doesn't matter what WWE's business is or if you like it or not. A sell out crowd disagrees with you.

Awesome, millions of people supported slavery too.

I never called his company little.

Basketball is an actual sport in which the participants actually compete to see who is better. Professional Wrestling is nothing of the kind. It is poorly written theater staring no necked steriod monsters.

Yeah, we're done here.

What kind of world do we live in, Davros, where wrestling is given credence? Have the terrorists won?

So now's not a good time to discuss yet another trophyless season for Arsenal? You gotta get that pedorat of a manger out of there, he's more suited for the MLS.

Out of curiosity, what would those of you who think the WWE has no right to use the arena despite the fact that they signed a contract months ago think if it were any of the following events instead of the WWE?

--A Disney something-on-ice show
--A concert from a popular band
--An NHL game

Would the NBA get to take priority over those events too, even if those events signed a contract to appear on a particular date at the arena?
