WWE Publishes Star Trek Books?

So, here's something interesting. Amazon.com shows that the Amazon Kindle edition of Star Trek: Vanguard #2: Summon the Thunder is published by... World Wrestling Entertainment. No joke.

Please let this be an omen that WWE films will star making Star Trek movies starring John Cena as James T. Kirk.

I'd guess that has something to do with Simon & Schuster having a licensing partnership with the WWE. I remember times at New York Comic-Con where wrestlers would come in to sign books at the S&S booth and the lines were like a hundred times longer than they were for us Trek novelists.

I figured that it was a boo-boo along those lines. Still amusing.

Immediately made me think of something I noticed a few years ago. I was looking to see if there were any new recordings by organ virtuosa Pamela Decker, and a major online retailer (I'll only say it wasn't the OHS Catalog, because I KNOW they wouldn't have made the mistake) popped up a listing on a CD reissue of an old Leontyne Price recording, on which they claimed Pamela Decker was the accompanist. Only problem is that (1) Dr. Decker could not have been more than high school age at the time of the recording, and (2) the resident organist for that venue, at the time of the recording, was GEORGE Decker. The online retailer refused to believe me.

I'm assuming that was Amazon? They do that kind of shit all the time.

Somebody at Amazon HQ is laughing.

Somehow this reminds me of the time when I was little and somebody gave me a sticker with a picture of a panda, and the big letters "WWF." I wondered what pandas had to do with wrestling.
