WTF Dexter! (SPOILERS)

Joe Washington

Fleet Captain
Fleet Captain
Here's what I came across on the latest spoiler update from Latest from Kristin:

"David in Smithtown, N.Y.: You never give us any Dexter spoilers! Rude much?
We'll ignore the tone of your question, young man, and provide you with what you desire: Look for a recurring character named Hannah to join the show who's described as sexy, dangerous and a force of nature. She's got quite the past but is trying to put it behind her…until she meets Dexter. We're thinking she's going to have quite the affect on our resident serial killer considering there's a strong possibility Hannah will appear in season eight as well."

What do you guys think about this latest love interest in Dexter's life? Will she just be a repeat of Lumen or Lila?

Part of me is curious about this Hannah character while the other is pissed because what was the point of developing Deb's romantic feelings for Dexter if the writers were going to bring in another love interest for our beloved serial killer?

I couldn't give a rat's ass about Dexter's new love interest, or new characters, or WHATEVER.

What I care about is how Deb will react to what she saw in the last scene of last season. THAT is all that matters.

Who cares? Dexter has collapsed under its own weight at this point. Even the cliffhanger, a year too late (at least), failed to arouse my interest. The only bright side of this news is it suggests the writers won't be going down the brother/sister romance road that was implied by the end of season six.

I have this horrible feeling that the writers are just going to jump forward a couple months-- to where Deb is in a state of denial and pretending like everything is normal-- and the topic won't come up again until the last few episodes.

That said... I do miss watching Dexter do his thing, and look forward to watching the show again, even in it's diminished state. Which is more than I can say for True Blood, which has become so tired and repetitive by this point I can barely even finish it anymore.
