Writers Untie...er, Unite!

Wow... I'm the exact same way... when it comes to physical fighting, I'm totally clueless. Maybe that's why I stick to space combat.

I'm lucky that way... well, I should be. It's my job to fight. I've had friends ask me to re-write scripts they've been working on to make the fight scenes more believable (I also seem to have a habit of making notes on the dialogue - never appreciated) but outside of a script - I struggle with it.

I'm also pleased to see so many have the movie mindset. It's something I try not to have. I can see it all in my head and it doesn't help that my GF keeps telling me some stuff, most recently Year One, should be a TV show... but when I try to distance myself from the cinematic vision I do sometimes feel quite boring and try to lighten it up with my weird humour.

I really love how in your "SHA KA REE: year one" story, you break the race down to individual nationalities, and ethnicity... something that I also, felt was sorely lacking in any of the other Trekworlds. That alone, really gets me interested, because it shows that you've put a lot of thought into your universe. Me thinketh that I might have a go at that story, once I'm all done with "Urantia".

A question on Urantia... I've recently got into BSG and although it's an odd question, I wouldn't have any spoilers of any kind in there, right? From the synopsis it's like an offshoot of the pilot (the only part I've seen so far) but I'm avoiding apoilers in a world where everyone but me knows what happened on that show, so being careful

Hey, there...

I'll try and explain, without showing any "spoiler" info...

"Battlestar Urantia" is a story that is set in RDM's BSG, and while starting out as telling a wholly independent storyline, does so in a way that STRICTLY adheres to the canon of the TV show... in many ways, Urantia is the same as Galactica, and in quite a few ways, it is different... but no matter what, you KNOW that it's unmistakeably the same universe.

If you've just begun to watch the Galactica TV series, then if you DO want to also begin reading Urantia, I would suggest starting the series first, watching that, and then read Urantia, because there is a lot of stuff and background from the show you'll need, to understand the story. Especially from the movie "RAZOR".

Basically, the two stories are different, but share the same eventual storylines, in the end. If you do start reading the story, please let me know what you think!
