Just a reminder for those from here who contacted us about Into The Unknown, the closing date for submissions in July 31st.
I don't know about a new companion but I think it would be incredibly touching for the Doctor to revisit Bernard who is basically on his death bed. Bernard is perfectly fine with leaving the mortal coil but the Doctor is absolutely beside himself because he can't deal with it (he doesn't like endings) and will probably reveal what happened to Donna before her granddad passes.
I think it would make a very touching episode.
