Wrists, ankles and working out

Flying Spaghetti Monster

Hey folks. I'm a guy, but I'm admittedly on the weak side, and i want at least get a little stronger. My problem is that my wrists are very small and they hurt easily, sometimes even at the end of a day where I am not working out, they get sore. And if I do presses, the pressure of the weights seem to stop at my wrists and is not distributed throughout my arm to tone my muscles. I usually stop doing reps quickly because my wrists even though I could actually do more reps. Same with push ups.. gawd my writs hurt after doing those. My ankles hurt doing those as well. I feel as if my wrists and ankles are cheating me of a good workout

I'm no expert, but maybe get a grip ball or a pair of those springy grip handle things . . . whatever they're called

Do some regular wrist curls and reverse wrist curls. Start off light.
