MANT!

Our Dear Daughter's getting married this weekend..I'm flying out to Newark to give her away..Thursday to Sunday, I'll be busy except for 1 day...

If I get to sight see..what in Newark or NYC should be the priority? a list in descending order would be nice...

I've never been out there, except for a layover in the Newark airport, but if I had the chance and could only see one thing, I would see the Statue of Liberty.

Congrats to your daughter!

congrats!

I wouldn't bother seeing anything in Newark. it's one of the armpits of the nation.

in NYC though, I would definitely check out the Museum of Natural History. it's really cool. and I wouldn't pass up the chance to check out Lady Liberty or ride the Staten Island Ferry (even though one crashed again recently). if you have time you should go to Central Park and try to count all of the statues there.

but you absolutely, positively, must go to John's on Bleecker Street and have the best pizza in the world.

oh yeah, no trip to NYC would be complete without a hot dog and a pretzel from a street vendor.

Congratulations on your daughter's wedding. :bolian:

Forget about New Jersey and just head into New York. Check out Greenwich Village and the Statue of Liberty. Of course, there's also Ground Zero....

Congratulations!!!

I'm with RJ, go to NYC. There's so much to see and do. But please try to find time to go to Ground Zero.

I would like to congratulate the groom on avoiding the many death traps you have laid for him.

Congrats.

Have not been to New York, but among the first places I want to go are the Empire state Building's observation deck (and a second trip at night) and Ellis Island.

flew back..went straight to work right afterwards..hitches aplenty..but as always it turned out alright in the end..never made it to NYC..just too much to do to set up the wedding..but we did take a jaunt just across the Hudson at Hoboken NJ..wonderful views..Spent most of the time in the Ironbound neighborhood.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironbound with many parties and resturant visits.. and next time, I plan for a week just to explore NYC with my new Son-in Law...

pictures coming as soon as I can pry the SD cards from my wife..
