Wouldn't it be nice to have a 108 minute long finale?

I just watched that Lost DVD special ad from cracking.com or so and seeing as some series had longer finale episodes, why couldn't Lost get one.

I have the feeling we will get only 81 to 84 minutes of it anyway, but what do you think or even know about the length of the last episode we will see for a while?

^^ I always wonder what the characters talk about during their day-long treks through the jungle. Like in S6 when they're walking with Richard for hours and hours, what the hell do they talk about? Cause I would be asking Richard over and over again... what is the Island? What's up with Jacob? What do the Others call themselves? What happened with Widmore? What's up with Ben? What's the smoke monster?

The finale was going to be 2 hours (84 minutes without ads) but has had 30 minutes of airtime added - I wonder if they are indeed going for 108 once the ads are removed.

And whether it'll be in real time- they could always call it "108"...

Wow, 36 minutes of ads in a two hour span is quite hefty.
So if the 30 minutes of extra air time includes commercials, we will get 20 minutes of extra footage, which might add up to 104 minutes and if they are really nice, we could get 108 minutes.

It will most likely be 80 minutes and ABC will just shove in 30 minutes more of commercials.
