So it sounds like a lot of people were disappointed with LOST's final year and with the ultimate lack of answers. Personally I was disappointed with the last year to be sure but it's still a great show.

So if they made a sequel series would you still watch it?

My What If Theory: the reconstituted modern day Dharma Initiative finally locates the Island again and storms it en masse, occupying it. Hurley and Ben (and Walt, I guess) are on the Island and they have to either make peace with Dharma or go to war with them. I'm thinking Ben becomes the new Smoke Monster.

So you have some returning characters and also a bunch of new Dharma characters (and they're not all evil, there's good guys in there but maybe the leaders are corrupt). And you could bring back surviving characters as needed, maybe Dharma kidnapped Sawyer or something and dragged him back to the Island as a guide.

And perhaps this series would be a little less cryptic and a little more concrete with answers, since it stars normal people and the Island mystics are characters we already know and love.

It depends entirely on what the premise and who the starting characters would be. For example, if it focused on Hurley post-"The End," then no; with rare exceptions, I never cared for that character so I'd prefer not to watch a show based around him. Anything else I would certainly give a try.

I loved Lost. I loved every season of Lost and I loved the finale. But I don't think I'd watch it beyond giving it a try. It's nice to have things have a beginning middle and end, stuff like that doesn't happen much in the world of television. As much as I loved the characters and miss seeing them on my TV, it's time to let them go.

I would be interested in a sequel series just as long as it introduces an interesting set of new characters and is about exploring the island and finding answers to its mysteries rather than introducing more questions.

How can anyone not like Hugo? I thought that Everybody Loves Hugo.

Well, even though I did feel a little let down by the finale (and to a lesser extent, season 6) I would definitely be interested in checking out anything by the same creative team. That being said, given how the show ended, I really, really don't see how they could pull it off and make it work.

That's why I think they should focus more on Dharma this time. It gives the show a different outlook and premise than "more castaways on the same Island". It's not just people sitting around on a beach but a scientific / military community there on a mission.

I think that may be an interesting show without the Lost brand on top of it. Don't call it Dharma and change a few details here and there and it could be a very interesting show. But as far as I'm concerned Lost is over and it should stay that way.

I might actually be interested in a prequel that focuses on the ancient occupants of the Island, the original Others, or something to that effect. I would want it to be far enough detached from the first LOST series that they could pretty much do whatever they want with it.

I'd give it a shot, sure - it's not like there's an overabundance of stuff worth watching on TV. No real idea what it should be about. I'd want them to surprise me!

Didn't vote, the ending wrote off any possibility of a sensible sequel.

If they did make one, I would only watch it if they explicitly declared they were going to answer most of the questions.
