In featured roles? God no. Their time is well and truly over.

In the background of a bar scene, having drinks? That would be neat. Especially if the bar was The Captain's Table. Then they could do it in costume!

Love to see Shatner is the right role in ST: Thirteen, and more than a cameo appearance too. A senior admiral perhaps.

:)

Nah. The new movies are their own thing. The movie next needs to work on its own, not as some glorified anniversary special.

As for the 50th goes, why not just have some TV special with new cast interviews and reunions and such? That should suffice.

That sounds good to me.

Yup, need Shat in the JJverse somehow.

Nah. He's had two curtain calls already, in TUC and GENERATIONS. How many encores do we need?

(Cue FROZEN soundtrack: "Let it go, let it go . . . the past is in the past!")

If Shatner ever returns, I want to see him as someone other than Kirk. A bad guy, out to destroy the Enterprise.

I'd prefer to see them in a reunion TV Movie. The Next Generation's Undiscovered Country. Perhaps with some other 24th Century characters from DS9/VOY also signing off.

I'd rather they didn't, to be honest.

Frakes has had appearances in every TV Trek outing post-TNG, Sirtis has been in all but DS9, and Spiner was featured prominently in a three-episode set on ENT. I get that TNG was the Trek a lot of people grew up with, but is the notion of TNG cast members continuing to appear in every subsequent installment really a desirable one? How long a shadow is too long?

Put 'em on TV? Sure, absolutely - along with members of the DS9, Voyager and ENT casts. They are precisely the people who should be appearing in a 50th-anniversary Trek special event. Shatner, too - I don't get the impression that he's genuinely interested in a cameo spot in one of the movies, when he's already having a grand time acting the part of the outsider who's never told anything by the filmmakers but gets asked questions about the production all the time anyway.
