Would you join a mission to colonize another planet?

Would you join a mission to colonize another planet if it meant never going home again? Do you have any special skills that would come in handy?

I have no special skills suited for that kind of mission except being good at organising groups of people and having a teaching degree.

If the opportunity presented itself I would go. Unless it’s one of those generation ship missions where you have to live out your life on a travelling ship in hopes of future generations reaching their goal. That would be too claustrophobic.

Regrettably I would say that given the way we have treated our home world ,humanity probably doesn’t deserve another planet.
Not as we are now.It wouldn’t be any sort of UN mission either but most likely a private enterprise one (no pun intended) and that would definitely be a mission of exploitation rather than exploration.

Depends on the planet. Mars, no, but some lush rich and bountiful paradise where food is plenty and the climate mild. Where do I sign up?
