You've seen Seinfeld.

I don't have to explain myself.

Sometimes the drama was so by the numbers.

Night was fantastic... Until the boogy men showed up and the Malon chase them away.

Good Shepherd was superb until some space fish tried to eat the Delta Flier.

To me the most enjoyable bit of the show is the 5 minutes before the opening credits roll, when there's just larking about or going through the motions of their impossible mission.

Hey I liked A Night in Sickbay for the Phlox's routine part but the drama itself was embarrassing.

Would definitely enjoy a few episodes about nothing. VOY being the humour Trek I'd imagine they would be pretty amusing too.

Depends on how it would be written.

It could have been interesting to have an episode which would show an ordinary day in different crewmembers life, without encountering hostile enemies or strange anomalies.

Didn't TNG have some similar episodes, like "Data's Day"?

In our episode about nothing everyone's morning ablutions will be observed.

Harry quickly scrubs his face with the embroidered washcloth given to him by his mother when he boarded the ship. It is gold in color with the words Ensign Harry Kim in comic sans.

Neelix is seen in a tub up to his eyebrows. There are bubbles and hawaiian music piping through the com system. No other bit of Neelix is visible due to rating fears.

Tuvok enters his ablutions chamber and steeples his fingers, dressed only in a towel. Steam slowly rises in the background as we watch, for the next five minutes, Tuvok prepare himself for cleansing.

B'Elanna is in the sonic shower yelling over the com to engineering to get their asses into gear because it's maintenance day. Two minutes after entering we see her arm snake out and grab a towel, she's done.

7 enters her regeneration alcove. She states "Begin cleansing cycle" and then shuts her eyes. NO CLOTHES ARE REMOVED. A thousand fangirls and boys cry.

Captain Janeway is seen through a translucent shower screen obviously enjoying the sonic shower. She turns her head back and forth shaking her Season 5 short hair.. it's tousled.. a dreamy look of pleasure is on her face. 27 minutes later this scene ends as she pulls back the screen but the scene changes abruptly to:

Paris is sound asleep under rumpled covers. An alarm sounds, he leaps to his feet in a panic and pulls his uniform shirt over his head. He's already sleeping in his uniform pants. Sniffing under his arms a pained expression crosses his face. He grabs his bottle of Tiberius Cologne and sprays it liberally all over his body before rushing out the door.

Chakotay leans forward and stares into the mirror. He places his two index fingers on a reddened lump on his chin and squeezes.

ROLL CREDITS

How's this for a title: "Voyager, Voyeur".
With all the peeping into bathrooms and bedrooms.

And Seven's alcove is redesigned so that she can lay down while regenerating. Got to be tough on her joints standing up all the time.
Hey; there's the plot. Seven needs a nap.

I always felt like nothing happened in The Void. But I guess it's just false memory syndrome. Wasn't TNG's Below Decks (or whatever it was called) an attempt to show a different perspective?

That TNG episode was called Lower Decks.

I always thought nothing happened in Year of Hell.

Badum tish. I'm here all night, folks.

"A day in the life of" epsiodes can be fun. I vaguely recall an old TOS movie-era Trek comic doing just that.

But, also, they could suck Neelix balls. I don't have any interest in seeing the crew pratting around the holodeck, playing Captain Proton, Jane Eyre, Generic Beach Resort, Inbred Irish Village or Super Da Vinci Land. Nor Harry playing his stupid flute or Tom LOLing over unfunny cartoons.

Y'know what? On second thoughts, I think I already know too much about these people....

Void was the episode where she tried to rationalize piracy and instead built a Federaiton of her own that if it held together with or without her at it's head sitting on a thrown made of gold and diamonds, might have taken over the entire delta Quadrant.

You't just go instantly assuming that Danny was talking about teabagging,.

Maybe Neelix Balls are hors d'oeuvres?

Yes, in fact I think the Void they're in during "Night" would have provided the ample opportunity for the crew to just relax and for us to get to know their lives a bit better.
I'd have liked to have seen them going through that void for a good few episodes.

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. :rommie:

Maybe Voyager could have taken on an alien hitchhiker and we'd see the crew from his point of view. We'd follow that alien as he killed time wandering around the ship and listen to his reactions to the people he met and whatever they happened to be doing.
