Would Voyager tip over?

I just looked at a playthrough of Elite Force on Youtube and the virtual voyager and on Deck 15 you can play with the landing gear but oddly they have a window almost vertical that looks onto the landing gear as it comes out the ship. I find that odd because Voyager on the TV show has no such windows on the bottom. Video game Voyager must look very odd. LOL

I guess there is a gravity compensation field available. It's called the BBGCF, short for Berman-Braga Gravity Compensation Field.

A new invention, created by two famous scientists before the ship was built. ;).

It was mentioned in the episode "The 37's" when Tom is landing the ship:

Tom Paris: "Let's see now, BBCGF activated.......now!"

Oh dear, that scene was lost in the final editing.

Very close. The actual name for keeping Voyager upright is the Ground Hover Footpad System (GHFS), a combination of the touchdown pads and the Impulse Propulsion System (IPS). The pads are mainly to keep the ship from moving around once the IPS gently lowers it but still supports ~99% of the mass. Rationale being, if the IPS normally kicks the ship along in space at many tens of gees, countering a 1g field is nuthin'. :)

Oh dear! So the two famous scientists I mentioned can't take any credit for that? And I was about to come up with the BBISI (The Berman-Braga Institute for Science and Inventions).

Fortunately we still have the B&B Device. The small microchip inplant which makes it possible for, let's say janeway and Neelix to communicate even when their commbadges are taken from them. ;)

Maybe Voyager has junk in her trunk?:guffaw:

Or a Lynx in the sink?

I absolutely adore the ship. It has the Captain written all over it . It - for me was futuristic. It was sleak, robust , had a slight feminine touch but can battle like a beast with the best of them:techman:

That floating Enterprise definitely needs some anchoring points. Otherwise a variation of even 1% would have that drawbridge flailing 10 feet around, throwing the hapless crew off in high comedic fashion :D
