Would Selma Hayek have made a good dax

Hell yes! I liked Terry Farrell and Nicole DeBoer but both of them combined aren't as hot as Selma Hayek.

I dunno about Selma, but I do think Salma Hayek would look good on anything including DS9.

Selma could easily be a Dax, but I don't think she would have made a good Jadzia or Ezri Dax or by extension she wouldn't be good for Tobin, Torias, Curzon or Joran. Maybe if they altered Ezri and made the character a guest on one or two episodes and made her a more mature character Hayek would be fine for that role.

While very hot, I think she would have been a train wreck. Terry did just fine.

:eek:I think Selma would only look good in nothing at all. Maybe she could be a new race that CAN'T wear clothing!!!!:borg:

Who in hell is Selma Hayek? I know who Salma Hayek is, but not this Selma person.

No, she wouldn't have.

Hayek has no acting range whatsoever.

To have a good Dax, it would require an actor/actress with a phenomenal acting range (I.e: Jeffrey Combs, Andy Robinson to use examples already on DS9) who have the talent to show the different personalities of the previous hosts via distinct acting for each one. I.e: as opposed to Farrell's style of "I'll just say 'Curzon did this, Curzon did that', in the most uninteresting way possible, and that is 'good enough' to pass for me having lived multiple lives".

Hayek would have been identical in the role to Farrell; which is to say, quite bad.

Additionally, for Dax to be good the writers would have had to stepped up to the plate and given her some interesting, non-generic dialogue (she's the only character on DS9 who suffered from this symptom) and make her relevant to the overall plot of the series (again, the only character on DS9 who suffered from this symptom, along with Ezri).

Considering that Farrell's acting was totally flat, I think Hayek would have at least been an improvement, aesthetic and otherwise. At least you couldn't accuse Hayek of being flat.

You can't accuse Terry Farrell of being "flat" either.
