I suddenly got an image in my head of Riker meeting with Picard and Raffi back in the day. Raffi calls Picard JL, Riker looks at Picard and with a grin asks "JL?" Picard responds "Don't you start."

I can picture this perfectly!

This is a quote from the Picard book that's just released when Raffi first calls him JL. I can soften a bit to it now that I understand how their relationship nurtures in the book.
