With star trek into darkness?

the film seems to have divided a lot of fans. Imagine if Orci and Co could go back in time do you think they would have written a completely differently story knowing the reactions they have seen from fans, critics and even old directors alike?

Nick Meyer the director of wrath of khan does not seem to be a fan of star trek into darkness and he gave a back handed compliment to the kirk death scene in the film which mirrors spock's death scene that Meyer directed in wrath of khan. Meyer basically called it a rip off, lacking depth

Perhaps if orci and co were to rewrite the film before year 2013, my guess is they would write it very differently. kirk would not die the way he did or not even die at all. spock would not overact by yelling and screaming , spock and uhura would not have a love spat on the way to a mission, carol stripping for no just reasons and magic blood would not be in the film,however I still think BC would have been Khan.

I don't see it as any more divisive than any other Trek film. There will always be fans who are very vocal about things they didn't like.

If they could do it again, why would they want to do anything any substantially different? The movie met with very good critical reviews and made good money.

Who cares what Meyer thinks? I appreciate everything he did for Trek, but I don't think his remarks regarding STID came across very well. He has a hard time understanding the Abrams movies?

They may not have made the Trek movie everyone wanted to see, but as Geoff Peterson points out, who has?

Figure out first what your thread is going to be about. If all you're going to do is throw a random bunch of stuff together and paste it haphazardly onto the internets, what you should do is (all together now) Put. It. In. A blog entry.
