don't know where this would belong, so I put it here...
So in Star Trek there are green people, for all intents and purposes they look and act like humans from North America, but have green skin. Do you think these people would face bigotry and harrassment? Or would they assimilate better into American culture then humans from other parts of Earth? Would you want that green chick from Trek IX moving in next door? There was nothing at all alien about her aside from her skin color. And what if she has her green relatives over every weekend? What if a slave ship (ala Alien Nation) of green people arrived on Earth and these green people took refuge on our planet because they had nowhere else to go?
Would people make racist green people jokes?
