Worst season of Star Trek ever.

TOS Season 3 is heads and leaps above TNG season 1. If TNG had one-two episodes, TOS had ten. Or more.

I look at it this way: Is the episode of Star Trek so bad I wouldn't watch it twice? It has to be Enterprise:Season 2. TNG: Season 1 was bad, but I'll watch it again.

I can't really vote as there wasn't one season which didn't have enough decent episodes to make me not want to vote for it.

Good comparison. Plus, TNG is more forgiveable - it was the first season of Modern Trek, after all.

TNG Season 1. It had some good episodes such as 11001001 and Arsenal of Freedom, but for the most part it was a dreadful attempt at imitating TOS.

Imitating TOS? TNG was nothing like TOS. If anything it was the anti-TOS. Klingons were now allies, bald captain who was strictly prime-directive and all diplomatic,a woman doctor,a blind navigator who became the chief engineer, shows that were all about going from planet to planet and teaching their brand of morality.... I just don't see the comparison. It's two totally different shows.

I think he meant the episodes of season one were a lot like TOS. And I agree, there were a few that were.

There are only two episodes of Star Trek I can say with any great certainty that I will never watch again. The first is "The Way to Eden" and the second is TNG's "Lessons". I can, however, certainly say that their respective seasons would probably not get my vote.

It's a toss up between TOS 3, TNG 1, and ENT 2 for me.

TOS 3 consisted of a few excellent episodes (Enterprise Incident, Tholian Web, etc); and quite a lot of stinkers (Way to Eden, Turnabout Intruder, And the Children Shall Lead, Spock's Brain, etc.)

TNG 1 is nearly unwatchable nowadays. It has dated horribly.

ENT 2 was just mediocre, lowest common-denominator, and boring, for the most part, despite a couple of highlights (Cogenitor, Carbon Creek, First Flight. These are the kind of episodes ENT should have been doing from the beginning)

I eventually went with ENT 2. Voyager may come in with a lot of stick from fans, but in my personal opinion, it was better than Enterprise. At least in its first four seasons; which I really enjoyed.
