worst sci-fi TV series of post 1964

I think the worst sci-fi show I watched from start to finish that lasted multiple seasons has to be Falling Skies. So boring, stupid, underwhelming and underdeveloped. I don't know why I watched the whole thing.

I'm in the same boat.

How about Brannon Braga's efforts. Threshhold, Fast Forward.
And then there was another one called Surface I believe about aliens underwater by someone else.

I enjoyed Threshold, never really got in FF or Surface.
Threshold was a good show that could have been a lot better if not for network interference. CBS wanted another procedural instead of a thoughtful sci-fi series. It has one of the better pilots I've seen, though. I used to have it on DVD, but I donated it to my local public library.

I tend to find network more often or not that network interference in a show is a hindrance rather than an asset.

I use to dislike Babylon 5 many years ago, but grew to like it. Currently watching the fifth season. Calling that the worse is an insult.

Many shows like Threshold - I've forgot about it.

Babylon 5.

That hokey mess is not alone--its in the running for worst with Lost in Space, Seaquest DSV, Torchwood, Enterprise, the original Battlestar Galactica (and Galactica 1980), Manimal and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

How can you not like Buck Rogers? Except when it started going wrong and birdman came aboard. No aliens!!!

The V remake was extremely underwhelming. It was as if they wanted to make a show that had name brand recognition, chose V at random, then made it without any reason why.

Weren't there plenty of aliens in S1 of Buck Rogers, sure most of them could pass as humans.

The Original V mini-series (and V: The Final Battle) was far superior to the remake, though V: The Series wasn't that great.

from a 5 year old AOL blog posting idea.
The 5 worst sci-fi series of all-time

Do you guys have any worse scifi TV series after 1964?
I think the only one I've seen above was the original Battlestar Galactica and I was under age 6. Too young to even know.
Was it really that awful? according to Wiki
If it was so bad you couldn't turn a pilot into a cinema release that people would pay tickets for.

I loved Mann & Machine, and wanted it to continue.

My worst shows?

  1. Lost In Space (1965)
  2. Space: 1999 (this concept is better)
  3. The Ghost Busters
  4. SuperFriends
  5. Space Angel (mid-1960's TV show that was 'animated' in the same way as Clutch Cargo, and by the same studio)
  6. Ark II
