Worst packaging of any DVD series

I don't about anyone else but the hard brittle plastic on my DS9 series are breaking off at the folds. In addition it us ungainly to insert the inner case into the external packaging.

What do you feel is the worst or best packaged DVD series ?

I'd say the original TNG packaging was the worst. You had this huge outer box, from which you had to remove a smaller box, then unfold it about 10 bloody times to get to the DVD you wanted.... :brickwall:

My original Harry Potter DVDs are the same way, MLB. It takes all the joy out of watching the things.

The DS9 ones. Of my collection: seasons 1-3 are fine because it's the least watched. But the more frequently watched seasons 4-7 are being held together by scotch tape.

The Voyager and TNG ones were difficult to remove the discs. And all the voyager jewel cases were cracked easily.

TOS Clamshells. I guess because I used them the most. Open the outer casing, pull out the small container then slide off the paper wrapper.

The TOS DVDs were so unnecessarily complicated. I remember when they were first released, there was even a thing on Canada's Space channel bitching about them.

The first season or 'Eureka' had a special high tech bio friendly DVD case- it turned into blue crumbles. I guess it was supposed to be biodegradable and they were not expecting you to keep the discs longer that a year before throwing them away.

Same here. All seven seasons of DS9 are held together with scotch tape. Voyager is slightly better, but still flimsy. At least Paramount made up for those with the much sturdier clamshells for TOS and Enterprise. MUCH, much better, and I don't understand the complaints about them. They're fine as is. Same with TNG, although, that series could have benefited from clamshells too.
