Worst mainstream movie titles (in honor of X-Men Origins: Wolverine)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine will probably be the worst movie title of 2009, and X-Men Origins: Magneto will easily take the top spot whenever that comes out. (If X2: X-Men United were the actual title instead of something stupidly thrown onto the DVD cover afterward, that would probably top both those titles.) So what other known movies have bad titles?

My list:

Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend
Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever
City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly's Gold
Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking your Juice in the Hood
Highlander 2: The Quickening
Quantum of Solace
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze

Oh, c'mon, that shouldn't count. It's entire purpose is to satire movie titles.

The worst are the titles that are both offputting and cryptic, such as Series 7: The Contenders.

My favorite imaginary bad title: Star Trek III: The Wrath of Khan II.

I really like this title. Not only does it have a nice, aesthetically-pleasing sound to it, but it also describes the theme very nicely. A lot of other Bond titles, on the other hand, don't really say anything about the movie or subject matter - they're just "cool-sounding names from Bond stories."

"Die Another Day?"

"Tomorrow Never Dies?"

WTF are those really about? You sure can't tell from the title.

Yeah, I loved Quantum of Solace as a title for finally actually representing what the story was about. And it does, if you pay close enough attention.

As much as I love Batman Begins...that was a lame title. Should have been The Batman.

"Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever"

One of THE WORST title ever. Worse still because you have NO idea what it is about. When I heard that title I thought it was about that Kirk Cameron 80's sitcom with the Sever family in it.

Ummmmmmm Die Another Day refers to the main villain pretending to be dead and living as another person, duh Also Bond says 'So you live to die another day'

Tomorrow Never Dies refers to the main villains newspaper. Makes perfect sense 'Die Another Day' and 'Tomorrow Never Dies' also sound like James Bond titles

Quantum Of Solace is a bad title, always was.
