Worst Line in INS

"Saddle up...lock and load" from Data always makes me wince. Even moreso than the "boobs firming up" dialogue.

I quite enjoyed Data saying lock and load and the floatation joke was probably the high point of the movie for me. The boobs line on the other hand is truely, unsurpassably the low point, if you ask me.

Yeah, some real classic stinkers. It's been a long time since I last saw this flick, so I can't even confirm this one. However, The Agony Booth pointed this one out as a "gem of a line":

"do you remember where you were on the day of lightning when the artificial life form appeared to us?"

Apparently this was said by the father of the boy that Data befriend? I seem to vaguely remember something really corny being asked of to the boy along these lines though.

Damn, I'd just remembered this line and was coming here to post it. :rommie:

Picard: "Have you been in a fight, Commander?"

Worf: "No, sir, it is a gorch."

Picard: "Gorch?!"

:: Data whispers in Picard's ear::

Picard: "Oh, well... it's hardly noticeable."

...and, another classic Worf/Picard awkward moment....

Picard: "Do you know Gilbert and Sullivan?"

Worf: "No, sir. I haven't had a chance to meet all the new crew members since I've been back..."

Also, I thought all the dialogue surrounding Anij's supposed ability to slow down time was pretty cheesy. It reminded me of the "drifting" dialogue in Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo Drift. :p

I actually liked that line. Kind of obvious, but Dorn plays such a perfect straight-man in that situation.

Picard: "Mr Worf, what the hell are you doing here?"

Worf: "I was..." trails off as camera pans away...

"...at the Manzar colony installing a new defence perimeter when I heard that the Enterprise was in this sector."

"I'm going to ask Worf to delay his return to DS9 so that he can join us."

I really like that gag. :D The camera pans away with a wink to the audience so that you know that it's not important why he's there, but you do hear what he says.

So many bad lines in this one, but the one I remember is the one where Ruafo has some stupid whiny line -- I think he was talking to an Admiral -- and blood starts spurting out of his head.

Gah-ross!!!

I've only seen this movie ONCE. In the theater.

Yeah, Ru'afo screaming that line just stank of over-the-top operatics. I cringe when that one comes on screen. Which is all the sadder because I admire Abraham as an actor and know he could have played it more subtly and believably.

I didn't mind the film, but no line of dialogue is in the same universe of awfulness of that camera panning across as they put on tough expressions on the planet.

I always hated the lady at the beginning: "Mr. Data, stand down! STAND DOWN!"

i'm pretty sure Data outranked her

I'd probably reply the same way Worf did, because I never heard of Gilbert and Sullivan before that film, nor afterward, until now.
