Worst Voyager episode ever?

Ooo, I forgot about the Icheb subplot. Yeah, that was terrible.

What is it about B'Ellana that inspires geeks to strike out with her? First Vorrick, then Icheb.

At least Vorik entertained by going completely psycho, assaulting her, stalking her, and finally getting his ass kicked by her while Chakotay stood there smirking. And we got a hot P/T almost-makeout session out of it. That was quality TV.

Nightingale .... not so much.

Two words... The Fight. This is the only episode in the entire 716 episode run of the franchise that actually, literally, put me to sleep. And it did it twice, no kidding. I finally made it through on the THIRD viewing.

With the exception of The Q & the Grey, which I liked, the other nominees are pretty horrid. But I voted, "other," as I think Q2 is the absolute worst of VOY. And considering there were some real stinkers in the entire seven-year run, that's saying something. It was the most dreadful excuse for a Q ep -- let alone any kind of ep -- ever. At least the one DSN ep has several redeeming qualities, like Sisko punching out Q. -- RR

"Course:Oblivion" is a Top Ten episode, not one of the worst. Even if it didn't happen to "our" crew, it was still a great, heartwrenching hour.

"Threshold" is the worst, easily. "Spirit Folk" and "Fair Haven" were offensive to some (not unlike elements of Chakotay-episodes), but "Threshold" has the rare (unique?) status of being the only televised episode to be entirely de-canonized. That's gotta count for something.

Spirit Folk has no redeeming qualities. I want that hour of my life back.

I want two hours of my life back for watching Threshold. Two at least.

Me too! Let's go grab the pitchforks and stuff....

Oh, btw, I don't think Fair Haven was that bad. There's worse, such as Threshold. :) I wonder what happened to the evolved lizard babies. They have to poison Spock at some point, right?

Any ep with Seven in it.

So .... seasons 4-7? You wrote them all off simply because Seven joined the crew?

There are characters I dislike, but their presence in an episode doesn't make it unbearable. Bad writing makes an episode unbearable.

Those listed are bad, but most have redeeming qualities. I have three stinkers I can hardly watch.

"Nightingale" is right up there. Ridiculous plot. Kim in charge? With Seven to advise him on how to get along with the aliens? WTF?

"The Voyager Conspiracy" could be used in a film class to show how boring it is to "tell" a story rather than "show" it. All we saw was the same clip of the Caretaker's array blowing up and then a long, boring description of Seven's interpretation--over and over again. Ugh. Jeri deserves an award for memorizing the most lines in one script in any Star Trek episode.

Then there is "Renaissance Man," the penultimate episode that was actually ten times worse than "Endgame." Jeri got to imitate the EMH in "Body and Soul," so let's do that to the nth degree in "Renaissance Man." Everybody gets to pretend they are the doctor. Wheee. And did the doctor really think those aliens were about to kill Janeway? She didn't even have a visible bruise, much less a serious injury. It was just awful on every level.

I quite like Course: Oblivion, but one episode I cannot stomach is Heroes and Demons. Photonic aliens that appear in the holodeck and convert half the crew to energy, how rubbish. "Lord Schweitzer, I love you!!!!" I'd feel so embarrassed as an actor saying such cheesy lines.

Pretty much. It surprised me when their probe with all of their accomplishments was destroyed. I assumed it would make it to the real VOY in the end. I was wrong.

I don't get the hate for Q and the Grey or Q2. Are they the best Q episodes? Hardly. But I don't see how anybody could consider them the worst of Voyager. I enjoyed both.

I also don't see how the Q were "defanged" in any way by these episodes.

It was the ridiculous mating and have-my-baby thing. Awfully embarrassingly bad.

Q2 was funny, all is forgiven. Such a simple thing, but Q calling the Captain "Kathy" is always a crack up.
