What's so bad about the TMP uniforms? The TWOK design is superior, but the TMP ones aren't that bad either - definitely not the worst Trek costume.

The TMP costumes almost looked comfortable -- and that alone makes them superior to the "monster maroon," Canadian mountie costumes from TWOK.

I always thought Trek did a good job with its uniforms (with the exception of the DS9/Voyager jump suit things, but that's for another thread) but I thought their other costuming often sucked, particularly in the post TOS shows. Nominations from me are the ambo jitsu outfits in Icarus Factor and a whole raft of stuff that Jake wears in DS9.

I remember reading they were actually almost impossible to sit down in without some serious damage to, um, certain areas. Was it ST Movie Memories? Not quite sure, but it was mentioned somewhere.

Yeah - if I remember correctly, between takes, the cast would lend against wall because it was too risky to sit down!
