Worst #1 Billboard Hits

^ Sorta novel in country music, I s'pose.

No, not really. As I said, it's a well established form of a lineup.

I mean how they have those isolated parts where he's all on his own going "oom pop a oom pop mow mow" and so on.

That one song may have been kind of a novelty. But he doesn't do that in most of the group's music. Either he's singing his proper harmony, or sometimes he gets a line (or even a whole song) on his own. But even if "Elvira" was a novelty, so what? They were just having fun with it. And it worked, since it was a huge hit.

And it's hardly the only song that has weird lines anyway. As anyone who was around for shit like "Bird is the word" and "The Name Game" will attest.

It is no big deal, I just think that particular song is pretty bad is all and was just speculating that novelty aspect could explain its particular success.

Oh, I adored, We Built This City and The Greatest Love of All back in the day! Guess I was a sugar junkie! :D
If I were to pick one song, it's that stupid song Turn Off the Light. I can't remember who sang the song, but it was a woman and it stunk! It was ALWAYS on the radio EVERY SINGLE DAY 500 million times. It got on my NERVES!
I can't believe people didn't like Disturbia or My Life Would Suck Without You. I actually adore those songs. But I didn't particularly care for Irreplaceable though. That song is on the radio too much.

"Poker Face"Lady Gaga
"My Life Would Suck Without You"Kelly Clarkson
"Touch My Body"Mariah Carey
"Bleeding Love"Leona Lewis
"I Kissed a Girl"Katy Perry
"Disturbia"Rihanna
"Irreplaceable"Beyoncé
"Crank That (Soulja Boy)"Soulja Boy Tell 'Em
"Goodies"Ciara featuring Petey Pablo

I actually like Disturiba (and Poker Face isn't terrible). I think to be fair, I'd have to look at the rock charts anyway. I generally hate the pop music that hits number one and the only reason I tolerate those songs is I've become overly generous with them recently.

If I were to pick from the modern rock hits, these songs suck:

What I've Done - Linkin Park
The Reason - Hoobastank
Bring Me To Life - Evanescence
So Far Away - Staind
Hero - Chad Kroeger (I actually don't remember this song, I just saw who it was by, so I added it).
It's Been Awhile - Staind
Hanging by a Moment - Lifehouse
Butterfly - Crazy Town
Higher - Creed
Every Morning - Sugar Ray

I'll stop there. I don't want to go too far back in time

You win.
