World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)

Almost put this in the sports section but WWE does like to act like a TV soap some times so thought I go here. I was a big fan from 1999-2006 (thought I did watch some of the Mania's after) but this January due to my co-worker, my brother and watching old stuff on YouTube, I got back into the WWE after watching the 2014 Royal Rumble. Stars like Daniel Bryan, The Shield (later Roman & Dean Ambrose as solo runs), Ziggler, Bray Wyatt & still John Cena ;) have made me realise that there may be some hope for the WWE and Paul Heyman is a god on the microphone.

I do enjoy watching RAW live with Twitter as it makes the amount of advert breaks bearable though I forgot how bad the post Summerslam run can be until the road to Mania begins again & Smackdown is rubbish (I remember when it was better than RAW) so I only watch RAW + PPV's now. Also impressed by NXT and I was blown away with the talent during NXT take over a few weeks back. I like the idea of the WWE Network and if they even launch the dam thing in UK they may get my money because I would love to re watch the good old days of Austin & Rock. I do however share a dislike for this PG stuff as it goes to far with crap like Total Diva's and some of the RAW guests/segments.

So I Was wondering are there any other WWE fans on this board? or even former fans?

Former fan here but back when I was big into it there was WCW and WWF. I love the documentary type stuff that was on Netflix. It brought back a lot of memories. Favorites were HBK, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart and the Hart Foundation...there's more I can't think of right now.

I occasionally look at RAW and had a thing for John Cena some time ago. :lol: I don't look at TNA unless I'm flipping channels and see a face I might recognize.

Former fan here, I used to watch back during the whole WCW, WWF days. I got into it when Hulkamania was still the big thing, and remember watching Hulk Hogan pick up Andre the Giant and slam him to the mat during Wrestlemania III. That was wild.

Nowadays, though? Nah. My brother, niece, and nephew love watching wrestling, but it's not my thing.

Massive fan. I watch it all.

Whaddya wanna know?

What you think of current state of WWE? injurys stopping the runs of Bryan & Reigns and the fanpish of Ambrose but you can see someone out of Vince, HHH or Steph seems like they are trying to hold them back from being the face of the WWE.

What would you like to see when the road to Wrestlemania 31 begins?

Pretty much my days of pro-wrestling fandom started to die when WCW began to decline.

I think both WCW and WWF (never gonna call it WWE) were in direct competition during the "Monday Night Wars". The nWo and D-X, Stone Cold, Goldberg, Mankind/Mick Foley, The Rock.

ECW was also in its heyday. Mike Awesome, Masato Tanaka, Sabu/RVR, The Dudley Boys.

Yeah. Those were good times.

Once WCW went under and was bought by the WWF, that was pretty much the end for me. It all went downhill from there. Sure, the WWF kinda kept a good product on for a little while, but that to me is when the decline began.

Now I can't even bother with it.

I have watched on and off for the past 30 years, but I am interested in the promos and not the actual matches so never saw any of the big events. When I have turned wrestling on in the past five years or so almost all the names I recognize are on TNA

Anyone watching "Hell in a Cell" tonight?

Hopefully HIAC will be dropped as a PPV as "Elimination Chamber" is set to be dropped because PPV should not be named after a match (I can give you Money in The Bank, just!). The new name to be the post Rumble/Pre Mania PPV "Fast Lane" is stupid though :rolleyes:

Sting entrance was :eek::eek::eek: even though I heard rumors, I couldn't bring myself to believe them. Disappointed to not see him on RAW and I wonder if a short stint as GM in the future might happen before we see him probably fight HHH at Wrestlemania. I also wonder if he might appear in the Rumble too.

I have no idea how long they plan to use him for but I would love to see him...

* Royal Rumble

* HHH at Mania 31

* John Cena at Summerslam

* Compete (but lose) for the WWE Title at Night of Champions

* Final fight at Mania 32 (Dallas, Texas) against either Stone Cold or the dream Undertaker match.

I think that would be a fitting end for such an iconic career before entering the Hall of Fame :techman:

I just miss the days when Kurt Angle would get repeatedly clotheslined by the likes of The Rock, HHH, or Steve Austin while the audience everywhere chanted "YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!" because he was such a pinhead.

CM Punk had a reveal all Podcast and he confirms working for WWE sucks cause they can't write shit and work their wrestles until their health fails.

It isn't the best business to work for. :(

I missed posting my favs(current-all time); The Miz, Warrior-RIP, Kelly Kelly, Wrath/Atom Bomb, Raven, Saturn, Kane, Undertaker, Paige, Seth Rollins & Stone Cold.

:bolian:

Not convince that Punk can do anything in UFC but I guess until he tries he will never know.
