World Of Warcraft - Legion

*mumbles incoherently about Legendaries dropping outside of raids and something about kids and lawns*

Zactly.

Though it doesn't pain me that the real Legendaries still exist, as elusive and linkable as ever despite being useless stat wise. It's nice that not everything is replaceable.

This is a (very) old one but it actually tear jerks me, like literaly got damp eyed.

i don't even know if this quest survived the Cataclysm and its streamlining of all the good old stuff..

there is something wrong with that video: non-vanilla gear

yes yes, I'll go back to sitting on my porch

I subbed early this month, for the first time in a long time, and I just can't be arsed anymore. The way everything is setup now takes the fun out of it for me. The talent trees are long gone, everything has been homogenized into strict columns, and thanks to the fact that you can now buy gold, the AH on both servers I'm on have absurd inflation. I've seen level 75 greens going for thousands of gold a piece, while at the same time the mats I used to sell for gold no one wants anymore (I have mining and blacksmithing skills), at least not on Moonrunner or Zul'jin. I'm going to let my sub expire at the end of the month.

Low level mats took a big hit when they made it possible to level professions even while in high level zones. For example, a level 1 miner can now hit ore in a level 110 zone, he just gets less ore.

Which is ridiculous, IMO. Stacks of Elementium, Obsidium, Pyrite, all used to be worth a metric *yay* ton of gold, and now if you can get a handful of gold for a couple of stacks you're doing well, and mining in WoW has always been a pain in the ass, but the market made up for it. Not anymore.

Yeah, there's literally no point to mining older ore unless you need the mats for particular item you want to make. Just go straight to the Legion content and level your professions there. At least those mats sell well.

That's also the only reason to buy most gear is for the transmog look of it. The only gear I've paid gold for in recent times is the BOA heirloom gear to speed up leveling.

I don't have the newest expansion. I have Warlords of Draenor and down. I just can't justify a $60 expansion *and* $14 a month. I usually wait until they mark the expansion down, like they did with WoD, and then I catch up that way. Honestly, though, I just don't like where things have gone. I loved Vanilla WoW, and TBC was fun. WOTLK had issues (Northrend is kind of meh), but still had some great mechanics and the introduction of the Death Knights was awesome. I didn't play after that for a long time, and then Mists of Pandaria came out, and I played for a few months, but didn't cotton on to it well. Warlords of Draenor came out and Blizzard offered it to me for $9 as an offer to return to the game, and of course $9 is a great deal for an entire expansion, but then I didn't play for the longest time.

I bought a sub the first week of December to see if anything fun and interesting had been added, and I found that a lot had changed, for me it was to the worse rather than the better. So it's not like I've been a hardcore player since day one (I didn't get Vanilla WoW until 2006, which was thanks to a friend who introduced me to it), but I have enjoyed the game in the past. It has lost that fun element for me.

Legion is actually a great expansion story and play wise. Lots of stuff for each character class to do. I would rate it close to WOTLK as my one of my favorites. There's just so much to do at max level for once. And I don't even raid/pvp/dungeons.

This is normal. Every new expac previous mats are worth zero. The starter mats, copper etc.. are often worth more than ones from 3 xpacs in.

I have made 1.5 million gold (conservatively) selling mats since the start of Legion. So no, the market has not tanked it's just focused itself on the new stuff which it has always done.

Why would you expect ore from Cata to be worth what it was in Cata?

Blizz has made up for lower market drops in giving xp for mining etc.. which does help one catch up.

If you want to do well don't do a proff while leveling still, do herbing and mining and then dump one for your preferred proff at max level and power level it. Though frankly you will never make as much with a proff as with gathering and it has been like that for many years. If you want a proff do something with bonus funs, like engineering where you can make pets and toys and mounts.
