World Of Warcraft - Legion

Is this a new expansion?
yes, but you still have to pay them to work this particular job, so I'd advise against it

Mists of pandara was great but draenor was disappointing for me. I'm always curious about new expansions and if the story is interesting I'll play for a while. Draenor felt monotonous. It wasn't as fun as I remembered in previous expansions

Well you have the Burning Legion invading Azeroth in full force.

You have a likely situation were most of the old heroes get killed or wounded, so that you (Name) have to take up their more than Legendary weapons to fight the Legion. This weapon is your life. It is your power and you will need to do stuff to increase your power with this weapon (no real weapon drops after that....you got the best weapon possible)

We will be bringing in the Demon Hunters (Hero Class) to join the fight (Means Illidan is back for at least a bit).

The last of the Warcraft II heroes that were missing from Outland will finally get their story told.

Time to kick Guildan's green butt and stop Sargarass from entering this world (again). Hopefully we get to see him this time.

This expansion is suppose to lead into the next one after that.

If we can't xmog the legendary weapon every single one of us will have it will be beyond awful.

Finished the cow tipping rep today. Thousands upon thousands of cows slaughtered. Up to 69 reps now.

The legendary weapons have multiple looks you can set. For example, the sword has about 9 different looks. That said, they have said that you'll be able to xmog them.

I think I have emotional issues with my main, I am seriously in over identification with her :(

Blizzard you succeed in something you possibly didn't intend.

Nope, I deliberately skipped the treasures because I hate them and I was working on a panda rep killfest. So now I have the repgrinding and that to do. Which is fine, can improve some gear while I do it and if it takes too long the medallion price will drop.

Treasure are useful in the Jungle for the rep grinding as they give you the Fel shard things that you need to collect 10 of per day for I think Awakened rep. They drop from rares, or treasures, or epic look thingies in the Jungle.

Yes Tay I have the mount from Timeless, it is shit. It's like the worst bus ride ever the way you lurch from side to side with every forward movement. It's colour is .002% lighter than an identical mount you can get somewhere else.

I did it for my rep bar so I don't actually care.

And yeah the Tanaan treasure is useful but doesn't count towards the treasure count of Pathfinder. It's those other ones I skipped and am now doing when stuck on the phone  I'll be off WoW for a few weeks soon so my Pathfinder is going to be delayed.

The forums there are a shining example of why people think the WoW community is toxic the other being trade chat of course. :techman:

Pfft, WoW is full of carebears, even the ones who are actually trying to be toxic.

They've got nothing on DOTA players. ;)

Honestly the forums have shocked me in the last weeks because they are 100% improved from my last sojourn there which was at the end of Wrath. They are actually interesting and have lost a lot of the toxicity, what's left is pretty much ignored rather than fed into.

Also I'm reading the Jaina Proudmoore novel by Christie Golden. It is meh, but an okay read. I missed the Theramore event as I was off WoW, hoping to do it if you can still do scenarios.

I keep seeing 3 common complaints about WoW; 1. It's too easy. 2. Not enough content between expansions. 3. Outdated, whether this is just graphics or the combat system I have seen both gripes even though they different things but outdated. A bonus complaint is not enough customization. I can agree with that, but outdated? It is from 2004 and they just updated the character models. Not enough content between patches just depends on your play style and how much time you have. Too easy? I dunno, maybe.

Meh, it depends on what you want out of your MMORPG.

WoW looks pretty damn good if you consider that the core engine that has been around for a decade and a half, but it's not a game you come to for visual fidelity if you have a powerful PC.

It's also not a first choice if you're super hardcore into either PvP or PvE on a mainstream level. There is still stuff to do for the core folks at the edges, but the main game (around which the bulk of the content is being designed) isn't exactly challenging in that sense.

The content drought between expansions is a problem that every MMORPG developer ever has faced, it's the nature of the beast (or: the product) quite simply. All you can do is manage your dev pipeline as efficiently as possible and come up with and adhere to a staggered release schedule that minimizes these droughts.

The more recent content drought is a symptom of resource allocation on a more global corporate level. WoW is nearing the end of the cash cow phase in its product life cycle for Activision Blizzard, they are reprioritizing accordingly.
