Finally going to buy BfA. Will mess around with starting zones. I'm burned out permanently onalts though I suspect.
Since I hit prestige 25 I've lost all interest in the game. I finished my main goals that started in Wotlk and transferred all that time into prestige and then.. nothing. Nothing to do.

I got into the Alpha last night. No idea why, but I've been questing in Tirisgarde Sound for the last six or so hours. Only at level 112, but I've done most of the zone so far. I still have at least one more major questing hub to go, and the conclusion of the main storyline. I did find a quest that just sort of ended without letting me complete it. I has to close the quest tab via the X with no followup. It was part of the Alliance War Effort, so I don't know if that is fully in game yet, or if it picks up later. That is where the mission table is, and that's suppose to tie into Warfronts and I suppose going to the opposing faction's territory.
Didn't do any introductory quests, it just put me in Boralas with a chest piece of Azerite Armor that has minimum customization options (first tier is basically spec based or pvp.) My Heart of Azeroth is already at level 5, so I imagine it will hit ten long before I hit max level (currently capped at 119, I imagine they'll add 120 once they release the Warfronts and want to test the World Quests)

I got into Beta but have only messed around. I don't want to burn out on it. I know that sounds weird but I suck so badly at alts after 11 years because I can no longer stand repeating content. This is why I have yet to get the Double Agent chieve which is really quite ridiculous.
Anyway.. took about a month break, came back, still nothing to do, still no more pvp levels. Though it's updating right now so I live in hope.
Allied races: SO BORING. I'll do their starting bits but ugh. Made the Elf and the Cow and omg they have really dropped the ball on giving them variety in looks. I was actually very fond of the Nightfallen despite being not an elf person because they were amusing and good characters but they really do all look the same. What is there 4 shades of white hair?!
The Mag'har orc news was good but they also don't have huge variety from what I saw online. BUT I do love orcs so much.
In other queries what are they doing for the catch up events? You know where you run around like a lunatic fast tracking your levels and equipping your characters in gear beyond what you actually worked for lo these last 2 years in a week?
ONLY Wotlk had a good pre-event, the best pre-event, the event of events. Cata was the worst.
I have 7 million gold. I am not buying the dinosaur mount though. I'd rather spend the gold on tcg mounts. I also don't want a portable auctioneer because I enjoy going back to the Big Smoke from the wilds to do "things".

I liked the Scourge Invasion event before they first introduced Naxx-40 although that technicall wasn't an expansion pre-event
I think they called it a pre-event though.. I mean it was thematically one. Just not the way they do 'em now which is like a dog chasing its tail and kinda soul destroying if gear grinding is your fave thing.
I like it when they really shake things up, everyone should feel the effect of these things (all level ranges, major cities and hubs) - everyone! especially when they're calling them an "invasion" event
