World Cup 2010 - South Africa Thread

My only problem with the Netherlands winning this game is, that now I'm scared of Germany winning the title again, whereas with Brazil still in it I wasn't worried about that...
I'm happy especially because I still have a team to root for if Germany loses tomorrow. :)

I just got up in the middle of the night to check on how my birth country did, 2-1 against Brazil aint bad! I'm glad my prediction was wrong, yeehaar! :D

Now I really want to know what's so scary about Germany winning the World Cup. What horrible things happened after the last time?

Is it possible to read a statement in a worse way than Ghana's captain?

Hordes of cheering Germans with painted faces waving flags running around in my city. The horror! ;)

I just don't want Germany to win, and Brazil's losing probably increases the chance of that happening. That's all I meant.

For some reasons, I imagine you going after all of them on your bike.
It's not that scary  (ridiculous maybe).

I just don't want Germany to win,

I don't want that to (Séville 82 :klingon: ) but I won't say that I'm "scared" and "worried". I'm annoyed, that's all ;)

The 80s.

More like the 90s. The World Cup final 1990 was the first time I actually watched a football game on TV. I suppose my parents later came to rue the day they sat us all down to watch it. They don't really like football - in fact, they dislike it so much they gave me my own tv set when I declared that I planned to watch all the games of the Euro 96. I wasn't impressed in 1990 but somehow it probably lay the seeds for my becoming a football fan a few years later.

Holy shit! Poor Fusile. Thankfully, nothing bad seems to have happened, but I question whether it was such a good idea to move him so inexpertedly.
