Worf

This one always rips me up,

Q: What do I have to do to convince you that I'm human?

Worf: Die.

Q: Oh, very good Worf. Eat any good books lately?

I like Worf. He's one of my favourite characters. I thought he was really interesting character most of the time. This is because there had never been such a close look or interaction with Klingon characters until Worf arrived. On the other hand, I got very bored with the Klingon Honour episodes after a while. I enjoyed him on TNG and DS9, but I prefered him on TNG where I felt he fit in better.

Worf had more humor and character on TNG. On DS9, Dorm was just collecting a paycheck.

Worf has been my favorite character since I first got into Trek when I was a kid. Worf is cool, interesting and funny. Lets face it lots of characters didn't have as much depth.

His time on TNG was a good evolution starting as an extra with a 3 hour long make up job in the morning, to becoming a very popular character. His addition to DS9 was just perfect for DS9 in my opinion. Although I wish they would have had a good conflict between him and Sisko or Odo. They got along a little too well.

Worf rules.

I do think one criticism that could be made of the later seasons of DS9 is that each character (or pair of characters) tended more and more to be isolated in their own separate worlds: Worf with the Klingons and Jadzia, Quark with the Ferengi, Kira and Odo, Bashir and O'Brien. They came together for momentous events, but the show got away from the internal tension within the crew that drove the early seasons.

For Worf that meant that there was a lot of unexplored tension between him and characters like Kira and Odo. Still, overall I really loved the addition of Worf to DS9, if nothing else because it meant having the Klingons around, including Martok, who was a great character in his own right. By the end, Martok was basically just as important as Worf.

Heres a good one from Worf I just remembered:

Wesley: Are you telling me to go yell at Salia?

Worf: No! Men do not roar. Women roar. Then they hurl heavy objects. (dreamily) And claw at you.

Wesley: What does the man do?

Worf: He reads love poetry. (Coming back to reality) He ducks a lot.

"The Dauphin"

Oh yea, and of all of the episodes of Star Trek, who's the one person to get a big zit? Worf......

RIKER: You Klingons never do anything small do you?

I love Worf he is also my fav star trek character of all time. I think I prefered him in TNG, because he seemed to interact with the characters better, whereas on DS9 he didnt seem to have many friends. I always felt he fitted in better on the enterprise, where he belongs!

^^ Agreed. Watched parallels again last night ~ great episode only marred at the end by the beginning of the Worf/Troi debacle. Silly Klingon he should have had the birthday party instead!

Worf is one of the best characters for sure. He is my girlfriends favorite character by far, she thinks he's the funnies in the first few seasons of TNG.
