Worf/Jadzia in season 4

By having Worf/Jadzia centric eps in season 4, like Sons of Mogh, The Sword of Kahless, Rules of Engagement, etc. was this meant to set the stage for their later relationship?

"The Sword of Kahless" seemed more like a followup to "Blood Oath". Dax teamed up with that other Klingon once before and Worf was historically obsessed with Kahless and devout ("Rightful Heir"). I think their relationship formed over Season 5 as they didn't figure out anything to do with Worf socially. Bashir & O'Brien had their friendship, O'Brien also had the family, Sisko had Jake, Kira has Shakaar and later Odo, Odo had Quark and later Kira. I think they wanted to connect Worf to somebody and Dax seemed like the weakest link.

They laid some foundation for the realationship right off the bat in The Way of the Warrior, with Jadzia being impressed with him at their first encounter at Quarks and their sparring match in the holosuite. As what happens when any new character joins the cast of a show, they have the new character interact with the other ones, see where they get the best results.

though the whole of jadzia knowing worf on ds9, after all her life times she is attracted to mny species but worf tickles her interest a lot more than anyone else, the series attempts to throw the audience off by having quark flirt on jadzia but not many of the audiences were fooled by it, even though jadzia admtsto kira she was a little tempted

There was an interview done year ago that addressed this. Since Jadzia was pretty much the "resident Klingon" before Worf came on board, they knew the two characters would interact a lot. But it was Dorn and Farrell's chemistry in their scenes together that ultimately pushed the writers towards making Worf and Dax a couple.

I actually liked Farrell's acting around Worf. When she allowed the tough chick thing to shine through she got a lot better.

It was sort of inevitable that Jadzia and Worf would pair up, one liked Klingons things, the other was Klingon. Go figure...

It made for some good episodes.:)
