OMG, I almost died laughing last night. Especially when the audience hollered Ka'Pla! (or however it's spelled).

Definitely. Just look at their costumes, and all that vaguely bushido honour talk. The TNG-on Klingons are a mishmash of Japanese and Viking influences.

Course, the pre-TMP Klingons have really more of a Chinese/Russian vibe.

So Colbert can make a case for Worf being a Black Japanese American Samurai Viking, but Black Chinese American is pushing it.
