word document help

I need to get something done for work (the biggest responsibility here, since "saudiazation - getting Saudis in the workforce - has been this guy being put in charge of the stationary closet - he just smokes a hookah pipe all day and drinks coffee, which satisfies that govt. that he is being a productive worker! He's not keeping an inventory, so I wonder what will happen when we run out...)

Anyway, I digress. I have a word document, with a heap of town names, that sorta looks like this:

[FONT=&quot]Riyadh

Kassim
45132

I need to get rid of the spaces between those geo-codes (apparently what the numbers are) and the next city. There are hundreds of them, can't do it by hand. How can I do it automaticly?

They don't look like spaces, they look like blank lines to me. So they are either filled with Paragraph Marks or Manual Line Breaks. You can find out by clicking the Show/Hide button in Word.

Then, click Edit >> Replace.

Click 'More' so you can see the 'Special' button.

Put the cursor in the Find what field, and then click Special and select Manual Line Break (or Paragraph Mark) twice.

Leave the 'Replace with' field blank.

Click 'Replace All'.

All done.
