WOOHOO! I got to shoot a 25 mm and Mk 19 Gernade Launcher today!

I work for the Army as a civilian and I was able to go out to the range and watch the Soliders shoot. At the end of the day they had extra ammo for the Bradley's 25mm and extra gernades for the Mk 19 gernade launcher and let me shoot both of them.

It felt great putting rounds down range again and I actually hit my target (an old blown up tank) with three of the gernades!:techman:

I didn't even need to look to read the poster's name before I knew who it was. :p Hope you had fun, mate.

Since I was a tanker for 12 years, the 25 mm and Mk 19 had a smaller boom, but it still was fun since I havent shot anything since 1998. They had tanks out there, but they ran out of ammo before I got a chance to shoot one of them.

Dear Lookingglassman,

You suck. I hate you. May your wee-wee get stuck in an M2 when you are setting head space and timing you freaking DAT.

Love Always

Seriously man Im jealous. I remember those halcyon days of blowing up shit at the range at the end of a fiscal year just because the Army needed to spend their budget. My most fun experience in this regard is when they found a bunch of old M72A2s and Flash-202s* Getting rid of grenades was fun too. Damn I wish I had a job with the DA right now. There are times I miss being a soldier.

*= For those who want to know what Im talking about, check out the Movie "Commando" with Arnie and Rae Dong Chong. The Flash 202 is basically 4 LAW rockets bound together.
