Wonder Woman(NBC) *Spoilers!*

I was surprised to see that Erica's episode just aired this past Wednesday. I thought it aired months ago. I've known about her appearance for quite some time. Anyway, I have the episode and plan to watch it when I can.

Well that was so not worth the wait. Durance played her role well, and it was kind of interesting to see the idea of comic book-style vigilante justice explored, but it was such a quick, open and shut case that I don't know why they bothered.

Ratings? An attempt to get fanboys to tune into a struggling show? A chance for Kelley to recycle the costume?

Not to mention that the very heavy, serious issue of domestic abuse just made the whole Wonder Woman thing seem utterly ridiculous. I couldn't help but feel sorry for Robert Picardo having to deliver that dialogue with a straight face.

David E. Kelley? Combine a serious social issue with an outlandish legal case? Really?

1:35 opening credits video

posted the opening credits footage from the never released, thankfully, Wonder Woman series from creator/writer David E. Kelley. The show was supposed to air on NBC and bring back one of the most iconic TV series and comic book heroes. Fortunately for the many fans who criticized the costume early on the show was shelved and was never to see the light of day. Now we can get an idea of just how bad to this show was going to be.
Also this was before visual effects work so you see all the wires from the stuntmen. I really dislike the song as well.
NBC was smart to never let this show make it on the air
agreed from seeing this opening sequence

5 Things To Learn From The Wonder Woman TV Series Opening Credits Video

This video reminded me of the cancelled series The Cape in some way.

The guy who wrote that article really needs to have someone proofread and fact-check his work. Who the fuck is "Linda Clark" ? Never mind the fact that the pilot didn't even *HAVE* any opening credits...

Further, the author of the article never confirms that he's actually seen the entire pilot, but rather alludes to it as if he has and the article seems to come across as though he's getting all his information from the video of the opening credits and judging the pilot based on that alone.

Don't get me wrong - I've seen the pilot in its entirety and it is dreadful... but this 26 year old writer really needs to learn how to edit his work and maybe even be ok with sacrifice "attempting to be witty" if it means writing something that's at least half-way, you know, informed.

And yes, he does indicate at the start - "What did we learn from this opening credits video?" as the basis of his article, but I find it incredibly difficult for him to make the assumptions he has made (especially in item #5) without having fully seen the pilot. Maybe he has. I don't know. Perhaps my own experience conflicts with his (seemingly) uninformed opinion on how writer's rooms are run on television series. The point is, he's leapfrogging from the tiniest morsel of information and using it as a platform just to bitch, bitch, bitch.

Where in the world did that guy get the idea that this was the "opening credits video" for the show? It's obviously nothing of the kind, just a fan edit of pilot footage set to a cover of the '70s theme song. It's way too long to be a TV main title sequence, especially these days when most "main titles" are no more than 10-15 seconds long. And it didn't contain any actual credits.
