Wolf359 Animation?

Hey peeps, Just wondering if anyone has done an animation of the Battle of Wolf359, and if there are any animations out there, are there any that include the Klingons joining the Battle? I would love to see that, I've always imagined what it would have been like if the producers of TNG showed the whole battle, I know they showed parts of it on DS9, and they made reference to it on Voyager. We know in the canon that Klingons did join the battle, and that they all died, but it has never been realized on film! I would love to see that, I don't know if anyone has the time to put an animation like that together, but it would be sooooo Awesome!

In 2006 or so a buddy and I were planning a fifteen minute CG slugfest of the Battle of Wolf 359. We got so far as identifying every ship, how the battle would play out - we figured it would've happened with several waves of vessels attacking the "breaks" in between allowing for the dramatic stuff to happen like Sisko escaping from the Saratoga or Hanson reporting to Riker.

Unfortunately, my friend was doing CG in Maya and Poser and neither was quite up to the task of rendering spaceships like other software can. So the project quietly faded away. We DID get a teaser online (this was before YouTube, mind you) but that's been lost to some obscure hard drive...

Well I know DS9 had epic battles with the Klingons and Federation joining Forces. But I think it would have been so awesome to see the Klingons coming to help their federation brothers in an epic battle, and that their Klingon brethren sung songs of the glorious battle against the Borg where brave Klingons died to help their friends! Okay it's a little over the top, but it would have been EPIC! lol

Well, we DO know that the Borg assimilated at LEAST one Klingon (Unimatix Zero), though I don't remember for certain if it was because of some unknown Klingon/Borg skirmish, or if they actually mentioned the Klingons coming to join the fight.
I think they MIGHT have mentioned the Klingons sending a few ships to help before the fight began, but I don't know for sure, and I don't know if they would have arrived in time, before the battle ended.

Admiral Hanson reported in BoBW II that the Klingons were sending ships to Wolf 359. However no mention was made of any of them making it in time, and no non-Starfleet wreckage was visible later on (per the script and on the screen; we also know that no props of Klingon ships were in the episode). None of this outright excludes Klingons from having been there, but I tend to think that they were simply too late and any Klingons we see afterwards were assimilated in some other incident.

Quite frankly, if Maya is not up to the task no software is. :vulcan:

I do all my stuff for Phase II, Axanar and Renegades with Maya as my main tool. Poser is certainly a good tool as well...
