WNMHGB Set Plans Reconstruction

It looks great. I have only couple of tiny issues. First, the bridge railings aren't correct. The front steps stayed directly in front of and in line with the view screen. The railing to the port side only has 2 sections instead of three (meaning one of the starboard railings must have 4 instead of 3 sections). Second, the columns in the briefing room and the table don't quite match WNMHGB. The table is rotated and pointing more toward the door and when it acts as a briefing room there is no screen at the end of the table or control box on the table. The screen is there when it is serving as the rec room at the beginning of the episode, but gone when it is used as a briefing room. And the columns should align to 60 degree spacing. The camera doesn't cover the other side so we don't know the position of those two columns, but the other four all are in shots were we get a clear view of how it connects to the ceiling. But in The Cage, in the various shots it shows all 6 columns and the columns are the same, just with a fresh coat of paint in WNMHGB. They also are nicely aligned to the doors in The Cage.

I took another pass at fixing a couple of your criticisms - the bridge railings and positioning of the table in the briefing room. On the latter, the position of the table doesn't matter as much to me since furniture in the sets was usually moved around as needed for shot composition. In fact, my suspicion is the table was turned 90° from its briefing room orientation for the shots as the rec room.

For the columns, I'm only working with Microsoft Paint and the Windows Photos app, so the tech is rather limited for what I can do. Based on the screencaps for WNMHGB, the columns look close enough for me that I'm satisfied.

Also, if you decided to not use the drop out portion, fixing the bottom and refinishing the top wouldn't be that hard to do.

Interesting. or they cut out that bit and dropped it in again for it's re-use.
Yes, I intimated that possibility in my original post in blssdwlf's thread. The cut just seem too clean and the spacing too tight for an after-the-fact modification to me. YMMV.

By the time we see the table in Charlie X, the top has been "resurfaced."

Has anyone ever commented on the patterned wall paper above the chair rail? It adds texture and interest to the room. :techman:

In the briefing lounge? I think it’s smoked glass, similar to the panels in the transporter chamber. They’re backlit and the lights are potted up and down throughout the scene. It’s particularly noticeable when fast-forwarding through “The Cage.”
