Guinan gives you advice without you even asking that you need it. I love the way she works sometimes. Plus she's usually laid back when talking to others. I also agree what others are saying that she's lived for centuries so she has all this knowledge.

Even thought I would choose McCoy for a real issue.
But I voted for Vic because he's of the era (sort of) and lifestyle that knows that you can't spend all of your energy trying to compromise and accommodate with some people. Sometimes you just have to have them whacked.

After reading some of the TOS novels I would also add Nurse Chapel to the people I would confide in. TOS didn't recommend Counselors aboard starships, yet. McCoy having a degree in psychology sounds logical, though. And maybe some of his staff are cross-trained, too.

Guinan. There is a wisdom and "Knowing" to her presence. She would suss out what was key and focus me on the advice I would need, without me even realizing it. Plus, she would know how to make any cocktail in the Universe. Even ones in existence before the

When I was at school there actually was a groundsman who I used to talk to about all kinds of things - if I looked like I was having a bad day then he'd usually say something to try to cheer me up!

Reg is a good guy, but his holodeck adventures with Troi as goddess were questionable. Lucky guy still has Troi as his Counselor, so I guess he would still prefer Deanna.
Vic's songs are a matter of taste. I like them. But you know, Vorta have no sense of aesthetics....
And I'm glad, that Vic isn't replaced by Justin Bieber. I would ask Khan for advice to get rid of Bieber once and for all.
