Wise Man Cometh

Captain Kirk, and all the other captains of Trek, and other characters as well, love to give advice. It usually comes towards the end as our heroes impart some closing words to wrap it all up for us mere mortals, so we can better 'get' the message...

So...after all the TREKS you have ever seen, which words of advice, or summary of 'the episode's message' touched you the most?

Was it Kirk's parting words to Mirror Spock? Or was it Sisko's message to Gowron at the end of the Way of the Warrior? Or some other great words of wisdom?

"Let me help" About a hundred years from now a man will write those three words....

That is a great one Mistrel...how about this one. I know its from GENERATIONS, a movie that a lot of fans don't like, but I do love some of the lines from that movie.

Picard says, to the effect, "Someone once said that time is like a predator stalking us. I rather think of time as a companion along the way. Reminding us that it will never come again."

As I get older? The themes of Generation are starting to hit more of a nerve with me.

Even though TMP has a few bumps, here and there, I do like the final segment where they talk about bringing in a new life and how it may be the next step of our evolution. Especially how even Spock, after his own ordeal with Kolinar and Vgr, admits that the ability of humanity to leap beyond logic is just as important to just pure logic...Great scene there!!
