Whatever your political beliefs, please vote in this recall election. It's likely the most important election in our lives.

?????????????????????????????????????????????????

How on Earth is Wisconsin's recall election so important to someone in California?

How does it even remotely approach the possibility of being "the most important election in our lives"?

My guess is that it could have an impact on the upcoming presidential election. I've heard of pundits say about this. Plus we don't see elections like this often. Granted, it won't be literally one of most important ones in our entire lives.

Yes, most of us would not be able to vote in that election though. Timby would be able to, I believe.

Already did. :) (Wisconsin law allows for in-person absentee voting at the city clerk's office until the Friday prior to an election. My city of about 17,000 only has three polling places, and the lines in our district are obscene even in non-Presidential elections, so I decided to get it done early. Unlike provisional ballots, absentee ballots are counted immediately towards election-night results.)

I only wish I could have, as the event has been on my mind for many weeks. Congratulations to the great state of Wisconsin on their decision :techman:

As the crushing of public unions via their minion in office has hitherto been perhaps the most blunt act of the Kochs this election potentially signifies whether this will be indeed (y)our (again the same thing, what happens in the US often often foreshadows worldwide trends) future.
