from a reply asking about the ship:
If you look at the Conviction (Alka-Selsior Class) in my gallery, it's a ship that was made around the same time as Entreprise A, end of life. So I want to link it with a Constitution. I just don't want to do the Enterprise, maybe another Constitution vessel...Like you said, there so many of them and they all look alike, so I am gonna adapt the ship...

I said it was from the Kelvin timeline, but I wonder if I am not doing my own thing.
 
thanks. Still a lot to do...and haven't got a name yet, but that can wait. I am still unsure if I have a bug in the mental ray render regarding glowing texture. It does glow like the inside nacelles but not like the previous versions of 3dsmax.
 
Ah man, it should say Constitution class...got mixed up there, and can't edit the title. Well, everyone would have guess it by now.
 
Bridge to impulse. I tried different things but the one I prefer was an extension of the neck in a wing shape.

I did the deflector with colours to get a feel for it. I opted for something more basic then the Conviction ship, in order to downgrade the tech a bit. Still unsure about the dark blue colour in the middle.

Updates from the back of the ship. I will probably need to begin work on the main texturing soon, as I have to work on smaller details. The yellow strips are the beginning of the strip sensors, which was more everywhere on the Conviction.

Sensors and side windows. I had to redo it twice because of a weird bug in Max 2017...kind of lost one hour for nothing.
