WIP: CJS Raving

Hi,

Finally got more will and inspiration to go farther in designing a spaceship. This one is a Saber Class variation. Named CJS Raving (Canada-Japan Spaceship). I don't want to follow everything the Saber Class is, but I do the general design of it. Her are some views of it

The other angles are okay, but I'm really digging this view!!! It does look like a bird.

By the way, I think you wanted the name to be "Raven", not "Raving", no??

No it is Raving, because there so many ship with the name Raven. I do some research on the names that are taken with USS in relation to Star Trek. I don't want to take the name of someone else 3d designer. Thanks for the good words.

I've drawn a couple starships... okay several starships in MS paint and they don't look nearly this realistic!

Thank you. No I don't do 3D as a living, hobby only. I have been 15 years a graphic designer, so I know a lot about drawing and visual design. Been like 10 years since I begun 3D, but I do mostly spaceships. Keep it up, by the way...your ships will get better with the years. Mine were ok at the beginning, and I improved over time.

Done the texture and phaser under the saucer. I did something with the engines, it's hard to see. I saw this in Defiance and wanted to do something alike on my ship.

I think we can see it better that way. They are like flaps.

Made a modification on the tip of the engines. Rework the darker texture.

Ah. Titan: Sight Unseen 's book begin with a Saber class, this month. I find this a funny coincidence. Only one problem with that class: I don't have many under saucer views of it. I am making it as I think...

I love those sawtooth flats. Nacelle supports of the Ent-J needed something like that on part of the length.

or imagine them on the wing lending edge of the Planet of the Titans delta-shaped secondary hull--dozens of weapon emplacements.

Add more details to the top area and did some text. Add greebles and nurnies (from my small set). Now I should attack the bottom side of things...
