Wings of Honneamise--great or greatest?

When I first became an Otaku, about ten years ago, I was introduced to this amazing film. I just rewatched it with my 4 year-old daughter who also liked it a great deal.

Is this still a popular film? Did you like it? Have you gotten to see it on the big screen?

Wow! Considering the major rape scene it contains, I'm surprised you allow someone as young as 4 to see it. I do like the film; but that scene was fairly intense.

I'll have to watch it again. I saw it a few years ago and found it kind of dull. But I'm open to revisit that opinion. Then again, I'm weird with anime. I don't like Akira or Princess Mononoke. I do love Black Magic M-66, Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Anime is an entire medium with lots of variety and genres. There's good, there's bad, there's ugly,...heck there's even ugly and bad but still good.

There's bound to be stuff you don't like. I think I could make a pretty sizeable list personally out of the 500-something I've seen.

When my daughter asked me what was going on, I explained it much as I have earlier in the thread. I think I said he was trying to kiss her, which is true.

It's hardly Deathwish 2.
