Windows 7, Re: Libraries

The only problem I have with Windows 7 is the useless library system. Being accustomed to the way Microsoft had the user folder with all of the personal folders, like My Music, My Documents, My Videos, et cetera. I miss the ability to get into these folders directly in the start menu... :( now it all leads basically to the libraries. Anybody know if there's a way to disable or change the items on the right of thd startmenu that will lead you to the personal folder instead of the library?

If your talking about this button on the start menu

then all you have to do is right click it and select properties. You get the documents properties pop up and it shows all folders already "included." You can right click and remove any folder already included or set it as default save location. You can also click the include folder button to add any folder you like and add as many as you like (with in reason :)).

I personally don't use it, I use the little folder on the task bar, it takes me to libraries but I can get to any folder I want from the list on the left.

You can also make a short cut to any folder you want and pin it to the task bar. Just saying...

^ Ooh, that is a gorgeous window color. I completely forgot we could change those!

Yeah, that's one of the items in the start menu. I guess the only way to go around this is just make a toolbar on the taskbar and make shortcuts to the personal folders in there.
