William Regal = Moron

^Still, it'll be Vince that ends up in front of Congress. Not Ken Kennedy or Jimmy Wang Yang.
While the congress might want to speak to Vince, I feel that Congress has no business getting involved in this matter. Baseball received protection from the US government a long time ago, so I can slightly understand why it would feel justified in investigating it... but given the real problems this nation faces, I feel that everytime Jose Canseco or Roger Clemens testifies before congress, that this entire nation loses.

The US Government has not helped Vince in any way... And Vince's business is not the only one that benefited from 'roids.

^Vince fully expects to be dragged in front of Congress. You're right that Baseball needs investigating first. A lot more money rides on Baseball, but I don't suppose any Baseball players have been involved in any apparently steroid-related murder-suicides lately.

Although Benoit's case obviously was more an effect of too much damage to the head (concussions etc.). An autopsy of his brain revealed that he basically had the brain of an 85 year old Alzheimer patient as a result of all the head injuries he had during his career.

^Christopher Nowinski has been trying to get that across but I don't think anyone is listening.

Yeah, I guess it isn't as interesting to the "news channels" as ROID RAGE. Why bother with facts, when speculations are much better news.

I don't think anyone would argue the fact that Steroids and Co. are a big problem in many sports including Sports Entertainment/Wrestling, but what the news media did with Wrestling after the Benoit incident was just ridicilous in my opinion.

It is, however, what prompted Congress' sudden interest. Well, that and the Sports Illustrated investigation.

By the way, the reason I mentioned Jimmy Wang Yang is that he's been suspended for 30 day for a first wellness policy violation.

The news only reports what it can exploit... ROID RAGE is a great story...

Personally, I see no reason McMahon should go before congress... if congress needs something to be interested in, I suggest oil prices and a sluggish economy... Not a man running his own business

Well, I assume that if they call him he has to go. It's slightly annoying as the guys I want to see are the smaller guys like Michaels and Jericho.

By the way, did anyone see Vince get Rick Rolled live on Raw this week ?

That was the funniest thing I've seen in awhile. There's been a bit of debate as to whether that was staged or not, but I think it wasn't. The dead silence and Vince not looking like he had a clue what was going on seemed to indicate that much.

Some people have said it was the most uncomfortable Vince McMahon has ever looked in front of a camera, and that was before the Rick Rolling which he just didn't get. Before the whole "Mr. McMahon" thing, he still presented their television shows and never looked flustered or stuck like he did there.

^It wasn't a fake number, he did answer it. It was his hold music. I suspect that's the first time Vince has ever been put on hold.

Was that a real contest though? Why would anyone give a fake number for a contest to win money?

I don't think that Vince was really calling the numbers himself, that part was just show. They just called the people from behind the scenes and piped them through into the hall.

My guess would be that the rick-rolling was a prank by someone from behind the scenes, before they called the real winner. My bet would be someone from his family (Shane, Triple H, etc.), since I doubt anyone not having family ties to him would take the chance to make Vinnie look bad. ;)

^Vince misdialed the first number, so I'm not sure.

The whole show was a train wreck from Vince's ridiculous inability to dial a telephone right, the inexplicable sudden burial of Beth Phoenix, the complete waste of the Burchill/Kennedy feud, the part where the tag champions get destroyed, the guys that beat them don't get a title shot but some guy who has never wrestled a match before and doesn't have a partner gets one instead and finally Triple H's Hulk Hogan job on Jeff Hardy where he just beat him up for the whole match and then lost for a bulls*** reason which does Hardy no good at all.

The only thing that redeemed the show was the Highlight Reel with Jericho and Michaels.
