Will we see this crashed ship this Season?

That was a fantastic reveal, and though not 'official' still one of my favorite Trek moments of all time. As was the opening zoom in to the bridge, your work I believe?
Thanks.

Yep, that bridge push-in nearly killed me - took a month. I had no tracking tools to work with, just eyeballing it using a grid overlay that I drew in Paint Shop Pro. Had to correct frame by frame to stabilize some camera shake and rotation.

I've always assumed that the Kongo saucer was the one built for the production by Thomas Sasser, but putting those images side-by-side, they don't match. David Weiberg did the compositing for the final shot, so maybe he rebuilt or overpainted the model. @Maurice, do you know?

Crashed ship? Box checked.
I would love to know the *real* story of how this Sombrero class ship ‘crashed’. There were never any flashbacks to the events leading up to this incident which would help to establish the actual facts in a canon context, we can only guess as to what the *real* story was… recent propaganda against the Gorn makes us think and believe the worse though…

We were told the story in the episode, the Gorn hatched, caused chaos and the ship crashed.
