Will we see Robert April in Trex XI?

Unless a character in the film comes right out and says Pike was the first, we can still assume April was - even if April isn't in the film.

Ok only way I can see this working is either a ceromony of where Kirk gets command of the Enterprise and April is present

or what I could see better is April being an instructer at the academy over seeing Kirk on the Kobayashi Maru test (STII comparison)
