Will the shipbulding scene actually BE in the movie?.....

Re: Will the shipbulding scene actually BE in the movie?...

Do we really need yet another thread talking about the exact same things?

I would think it's trailer only footage. Don't see them taking the time to show the Enterprise being built in the movie. that would have to set the timeline for the movie waaaaaayyyyyy too early for a plot to be effectively implemented and keep the action rolling.

As would be said around here in regards to the actual trailer. "Not a hope".

Someone's done it already?

This discussion is ongoing in at least one other thread in this forum.

Re: Will the shipbulding scene actually BE in the movie?...

I think the whole thing was just done for eye candy. It's just a teaser, and filming has barely begun anyways. Almost certainly not.

No. But the part with the welders will appear in an Old Spice deodorant commercial during the Super Bowl. :D

Re: Will the shipbulding scene actually BE in the movie?...

It's an artistic metaphor, people. That'd be like interpreting the title sequence of Goldeneye as literal; as much as I'd like to imagine, I'm pretty sure hot scantily clad babes didn't singlehandedly dismantle the Iron Curtain.

What do you think?

I've read through every page of my script, and your question is valid.

No, the enterprise is not in the movie.

Might want to rephrase that, sport. Don't want to start another riot around here. ;)

Re: Will the shipbulding scene actually BE in the movie?...

According to the Star Trek Chronology, Kirk is born in 2233 and the Enterprise is build in 2245, so at this time Kirk is 12 years old. If Nero didn't try to kill the teenage Kirk and the main part of the film is a wild chase from Iowa to California with the showdown in the San Francisco Yards, i do not see this to be in the movie.

But that'd be one heck of a sequence, having Leonard Nimoy and Eric Bana duking it out on the incomplete hull of the Enterprise.

Chuck Norris could referree and point out scores like in that Mike Tyson nintendo game

also, I repeat:

According to my script, the Enterprise is not in the movie. it's a diversion, people!

Of course it's not the DS9 script. I would have posted that the enterprise would not be in the upcoming DS9 movie if it was the DS9 script!
